In late 2019, the HCA Healthcare global careers site served nearly 800k monthly visitors but struggled with a high bounce rate. This wasn’t a refresh. It was a full mobile-responsive overhaul, designed to improve discovery, reduce drop-off, and support recruiting at scale.

What started as a system for one app grew into an enterprise-wide digital design system. I led the foundational research that shaped the system’s principles, guidelines, and documentation, creating a shared source of truth for designers, developers, and vendors building across the organization.

In 2021, the Inspire employee app struggled with unclear positioning and low engagement. Employees were shifting communication to less secure channels like Facebook and LinkedIn groups. Our team redesigned core community and communication features to improve connection, recognition, and participation across iOS and Android.
